Nixian Channel Description:

We’re lifelong video game enthusiasts with a passion for showing the world how our favorite hobby has grown with us, from individual series to industry-wide retrospectives.

We put significant time and creative effort into each one of our videos, including research, digging into archives, recording voiceovers, and editing. Every video takes as many as 10 hours to produce, because we strive to give our fans consistent, high-quality content.

Our popular “Evolution of…” series goes far beyond simply presenting gameplay footage. We take the time to show how a video game property — its gameplay, character designs, graphics, sound direction, etc. — have evolved over time. We include unique voiceover work on each video to enhance the viewing experience.

People have been playing video games for decades. In that time, we’ve gone from moving a white line up and down to block a moving pixel, to participating in full-fledged, painstakingly rendered real-time battles with people all over the world. We help older gamers look back on how these experiences have changed throughout their lives, and new gamers to understand the broader context of the series they’re playing for the first time today.
The video game medium never stops growing, and we’ll never stop chronicling its evolution.
Editing and voice-over were made by me.

Bro fighting games are so cool… I wish I had Smash Bros! Melee, Brawl, Ultimate, sounds so much fun….
I've always wanted to play those games… They look so fun with friends..

  9. Didn't Smash Bros come out in 1999 though… not the 1995 implied by the thumbnail?

  18. Great video! Reminded me that PlayStation All-Stars is almost 10 years old at this point.
Really hope we see a sequel someday!

  19. You forgot to add Super Smash Bros. Crusade and Super Smash Land.

  20. I bet lot of you people also didn't know that Pokemon did NOT create the monster collecting/taming game genre (no, Shin Megami Tensei didn't do either).

  21. Car Games! My mission is to entertain you guys with an amazing channel that talks about collision physics, with a whole range of different themed videos

  22. No mention of slap city, icons, rushdown revolt, smash crusade, flash party, or the gb smash demake Dan made before rivals?
    Kinda cringe bro

Also, u should've at LEAST made a offhand comment about the party/non-trad plat fighters like duck game

  23. This is such a weird script and video essay… No explanation on each game rather than some loose facts, skipped over melee, Brawlout didn’t receive any narration over it. Huh?

  24. i have saw this video ONLY for ssj shaggy at the end

  25. "The most mechanically challenging" please, don't make Ultimate players feel good about themselves, that's just a lie

  26. “… the actual inspiration if Smash Brothers…”
That doesn’t sit right with me, look I will say that Outfoxies be the first of the Platform Fighters, but claiming as the inspiration without proof from Sakurai himself really grinds my gears.
It’s like saying Fatal Fury was made because of Street Fighter 2, but in reality Fatal Fury was actually made by part of the dev team involved the Original Street Fighter 1.

  27. What about the Kirby Fighters franchise?
